What size patio umbrella do I need?

If you have a larger dining table or want to shade a bigger seating area, you may want to move up to an 11-foot umbrella. Are Frankford umbrellas worth the money?

What does UPF50+ mean on an umbrella?
UPF50+ means the fabric blocks approximately 98% of UV radiation. If sun protection is important to you, it's worth paying attention to the canopy fabric, not just the size and colour of the umbrella.
Do I need a base for a market umbrella?
Not always. If your umbrella is going through a sturdy patio table, you may be able to use a base designed to sit underneath the table. For a freestanding umbrella, you'll need a base properly rated for the size of the canopy. The umbrella size, wind exposure, and how you're using it all matter, so we're happy to help you make sure you get the right setup.
