FIM has a few different ways to set up their umbrellas, and that's really the important part. You can go with a freestanding base, mount it to a deck, or choose a more permanent installation. It comes down to where you're putting it and what you're trying to do with the space.
Why use a FIM base with my FIM umbrella?
If you're spending good money on a FIM umbrella, I wouldn't start guessing when it comes to the part holding it up. The base and mounting system are designed to work with the umbrella, so you get the whole setup right from the ground up.
How do I know which FIM base I need?
Honestly, send us a picture of your space. Tell us which umbrella you're looking at and where you want to put it. That's usually enough for us to start figuring out whether a base, deck mount, or something more permanent makes the most sense.
Are FIM umbrella bases good for windy locations?
